Inframoura, the company responsible for the management of Vilamoura’s public spaces, is launching, this Wednesday, April 13, at 12.00 pm, an innovative bike counting system featuring two “Eco-Totem Bike Counters”.

The structures will be set up next to the Cupertino Miranda Roundabout and on the Avenida da Marina, in Vilamoura, and will make it possible to count the number of times bikes pass by and to visualise, in real time, the number of cyclists passing through these sites on a day, month and throughout the year. Through the Inframoura website (www.inframoura.pt), users will also have access to detailed information about the data collected.

This system is innovative in that, in addition to promotion of bike use in the urban environment, it also represents an important tool for monitoring bike use and for management support.
